Volunteers Programme


The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) Volunteers Programme brings together a group of dynamic and committed individuals who are passionate about sharing Chinese Singaporean Culture with members of the public.

Be part of the family

We’re looking for volunteers who are interested to provide guided tours for our upcoming permanent exhibition on Chinese Singaporean Culture. The free bilingual exhibition will highlight the distinctiveness of Chinese Singaporean Culture through aspects of daily life such as food, language and festivals.

The guided tours will be scheduled by SCCC, and could either be regular free public tours or ad-hoc paid corporate tours.

All volunteers will be provided with training in the form of lectures, readings and gallery walk-throughs.


  • At least 2 years of prior guiding experience in a public/non-profit institution
  • Fluent in English / Mandarin
  • Ability to commit to guide at least 6 times in a year


As a token of SCCC’s appreciation to our volunteers, we are happy to provide the following:

  • Training by our curators and educators
  • Invitation to SCCC’s previews, exhibitions, programmes and activities
  • Invitation to SCCC’s volunteer appreciation sessions
  • Use of SCCC’s pantry and locker
  • Complimentary parking at SCCC on the day of duty
  • Discounts at SCCC’s food & beverage outlet(s), subject to prevailing agreement with the operator
