Senior Technical Officer (Audio Visual)

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the logistics movement with internal/external stakeholders;
  • Assist in tracking and managing event calendars to maximise bookings and utilisation of facilities;
  • Assist in AV team’s manpower (full time/ part time) allocation and supervise daily technical, operational and administrative work;
  • Revise and evaluate risk assessment to ensure compliance of safety procedures and safe operation at all SCCC venues;
  • Plan prepare and set-up equipment (AV/props/ furniture) required for events/ venues;
  • Plan and maintain AV inventory and coordinate the AV maintenance schedule, to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the venues;
  • Trouble-shooting of AV equipment;
  • Operate vertical personnel platform (personnel lift) to rig and focus lightings/ speakers;
  • Supervise and be responsible for the technical requirements and costs for performances and events held at SCCC venues;
  • Manage all production needs for performances/ events assigned;
  • Act as a liaison between hirers and in-house production team to ensure production needs are met and delivered in a safe and orderly working environment while upholding excellent service standards;

  • Required to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays to support events;
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by Manager (Estates) or Assistant Director (Estates).

Administration support:

  • Familiar with venue booking system for the daily administration and booking of venues and AV equipment;
  • Assist the Manager (Estates) in planning of resources and allocation of work schedule;
  • Monitor and update equipment stock and inventory;
  • Maintain and supervise general housekeeping of designated venues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical/ AV Engineering/ Event Management with at least 3 years of relevant experience or 6 years of work experience (for diploma holder);
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, preferably with AutoCAD Knowledge;
  • Able to communicate in English.  Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage;
  • Experience in programming/handling digital sound mixing console and digital lighting console;
  • Experience in AV automation controls such as Extron and Crestron;
  • Licensed to operate vertical personnel platform (personnel lift);
  • Licensed to rig and focus lightings/ speakers;
  • professional certificate in fire safety management or Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18000) would be an advantage;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player;
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Technical Officer (Estates)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Manager (Estates) to organise and administer the documentation and implementation of the building prevention and corrective maintenance program including supervision of contractors for defects rectification, and preventive maintenance during Defects Liability Period;
  • Plan and coordinate the maintenance of M&E facilities e.g. security, aircon, carpark, AC and electrical system;
  • Assist Manager (Estates) to schedule and oversee regular inspections and contract servicing to ensure functionality of all equipment and systems;
  • Maintain fixed assets inventory;
  • Compilation and implementation of safety procedures and operations in the SCCC building;
  • Provide technical advice and support for SCCC events;
  • Support the development and implementation of Greenmark certification and Biz safe certification for the Centre;
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by Manager (Estates), or Assistant Director (Estates).

Experience in Information Technology would be an added advantage:

  • Experience in troubleshooting software, hardware and network issues;
  • Experience in networking protocols and hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, access points and wireless LAN controllers;
  • Experience in application and architecture deployment, monitoring and management of compute resources, storage and security to ensure the availability, scalability and reliability of the cloud environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Building & Real Estate Management/Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/ IT with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in, or 6 years of work experience (for diploma holder);
  • Strong electrical / mechanical background;
  • Able to communicate in English.  Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage;
  • Professional certificate in fire safety management or Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18000) would be an advantage;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, preferably with AutoCAD Knowledge;

Executive Officer, Venue Management

Responsibilities

  • Attend to venue booking telephone and email enquiries;
  • Provide administrative support for venue booking requests;
  • Work closely with the Finance department to ensure that billing and payments are collected and processed in a timely manner;
  • Provide monthly tracking report of outstanding payments and deposits;
  • Liaise with hirers on any outstanding payments and deposits;
  • Maintain the department’s filing system;
  • Prepare agenda and notes of meeting for department meetings;
  • Conducting venue walks with potential hirers, if required;
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • A diploma in Arts Management, Events Management, and/or Production Management, preferably with working knowledge in the following fields: Arts Facilities Management, Production Management, Stage Management or Technical Theatre.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong interest and passion in Chinese arts and culture;
  • Good time and project management skills;
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player;
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous.
